Safety Net Bus Travel Assistance students who do not meet the distance requirements listed above must be listed as a dependant on the applicant’s Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Department of Veterans’ Affairs Pensioner Concession Card. Students who have a card issued in their own name or are subject to a Child Protection Order may also qualify for Safety-Net assistance. Not all families qualify for bus travel assistance
If the student in your care does not hold a valid bus pass then the full fare must be paid, either in cash to the driver or by utilising a TransLink go card. Information on timetables, fares and go cards is available from TransLink at;
