APPLICATIONS FOR 2016 BUS PASSES ARE DUE NOW
ALL NEW PASSENGERS FOR 2016
To ensure timely distribution of bus passes in the New Year, please submit your application before the end of November 2015.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR EXISTING BUS PASS HOLDERS
At the end of each school year, please ensure that the current pass is retained to be used in the new school year until the new pass is issued.
Existing bus pass holders only need to re-apply for a 2016 bus pass if they are:
- moving from Primary to Secondary School (year 6 to year 7)
- repeating a grade
- changing their home address or school

Applications will be processed over the Christmas school holidays. Once applications are approved, bus passes are sent to school for collection. Please allow 10-15 working days from the start of Term One 2016.

Distance Bus Travel Assistance for students living more than 3.2km for primary (years prep-6) or 4.8km for secondary (years 7-12) by the shortest trafficable route from their nearest state school. Non-state school students must live more than the required distance from both the nearest state school and non-state of the type attended. Safety Net Bus Travel Assistance students who do not meet the distance requirements listed above must be listed as a dependant on the applicant’s Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Department of Veterans’ Affairs Pensioner Concession Card. Students who have a card issued in their own name or are subject to a Child Protection Order may also qualify for Safety-Net assistance. NOT ALL FAMILIES QUALIFY FOR BUS TRAVEL ASSISTANCE. If the student in your care does not hold a valid bus pass then the full fare must be paid, either in cash to the driver or by utilising a TransLink go card.
