Eligibility for Travel Assistance - Queensland
To be eligible for Travel Assistance, students must-
- Be enrolled at an approved school.
- Live more than 3.2 kilometers by the shortest trafficable route from the nearest State Primary School. In addition non-State students must also live more than 3.2 kilometers from the nearest non-State School of the type.
- Live more than 4.8 kilometers by the shortest trafficable route from the nearest States Secondary School. In addition non-State students must live more than 4.8 kilometers from the nearest non-State School of the type. (applies to Secondary School students - Years 8 to 12).
If the students are enrolled in a special school or unit, consideration will be given to all applicants irrespective of distance.

To obtain a bus pass application form:
- Telephone Queensland Transport on ph:(07) 5630 8857; OR
- Collect a form from a Queensland Transport Office; OR
- Collect a form from our office at 1 - 10 Mercantile Court, Molendinar
- Information & forms can be viewed on the School Transport Assistance Scheme site.
If you have received a letter of safety net approval from Queensland Transport, please allow us around ten days to print the pass and send it to your school for collection.
Replacement of a QLD School Bus passes is $12.30. This can be purchased from any Surfside driver or from our head office. Once payment is made, a new bus pass will be issued to the student's address within 3 - 4 working days.
